So I just wanted to start with this statement. This is my own opinion and was not paid to say these things. I have found this stand up desk to be perfect for my application.
I think the amount of money I paid for this desk, it definitely is a great bang for the buck deal! What caught my eyes between this one and a Flexispot one was the size of this desk. My requirement was to have more room on top and on the keyboard area. I like to fit my laptop on the keyboard and this definitely fits a 17" laptop with a lot of room for the mouse to move. My 2nd requirement was that I needed something that would go straight up instead of pulling it up and backwards (towards you) like the Varidesk, due to limited space area.
-When I opened up the package, I was able to install the keyboard tray very easily. (no tools needed)
-The lift mechanism was very easy. Other stand up desks usually have two handles to lift, one on the right and one on the left. This one has only one and was very easy to lift or push down.
-I was able to fit my 27" monitor on the top and I was able to fit my 17" mobile workstation on the keyboard with a lot of room for my mouse.
-This desk is very aesthetically pleasing, it would probably look good in any room it goes in.
-Based on safety standpoint, having 2 levers/handles is much safer than having only 1. However, even having only 1, it was very easy to lift and push down.
This sanding desk is as perfect for standing as it is sitting. I got this for my health - and rotate through the day with about an hour standing ( on a cushioned mat) , then an hour sitting. It's been a positive adjustment. I know I'm doing something good for me. Highly recommend. It's very stable and sturdy, and supports two monitors plus a lamp. If you have VESA-mount monitors, then you can mount them on the back, with an accessory. I've asked the company to buy VESA-mount next so I can trade mine - then I'll have even more desk writing space.
The product itself feels heavy duty and balanced. Have enjoyed it for a couple of days in the workplace and will follow up if the stress test doesn’t hold up to prolonged use.
Also, my desk had arrived with some damage to the corner (crushed corner edge). The Offissentials team offered to replace my desk without requiring me to drag my current desk back in the box to a shipping facility (which would have been almost impossible for me considering it’s sizable, heavy and I have no car). Very pleased with the immediate response I got back to my inquiry of what could be done given that I received a damaged product. Highly recommend the product so far based on the quality of the product and the outstanding customer service which guarantees you’ll love what you get, or they’ll take care of your concerns if you don’t.
I really enjoy the fact that I can sit or stand easily and move between the two settings with ease and without moving all the things on my desk around. I also like that it does not require pulling up and back to move to standing, the spring ensure you do not have to put your back into a weird spot when changing positions. The large desk area is nice for keeping things on the desk that I am working on and not having to move things all around. However, it is much larger overhang in the front, so measure more accurately than I did, and make sure it fits your space well. I wish it was a little smaller, but I am so happy with the ease of use that I am keeping it and just moved my desk out from the wall a bit to accommodate the large depth of the desk. Be healthier and do it with ease, with this desk.
From my boss who is using the product:
I recently purchased the Victor DCX760 Height Adjustable Sit Stand Desk. I have used sit-stand desks before, but never one like this. I love the larger footprint. It might not have been good for the small cubicle desk I used to have, but now that I have a proper desk, it's great to have some of my important things always right there. I have my monitor (note that there’s plenty of room for two monitors, which I may have in the near future), my computer, a small cabinet, external keyboard, mouse, my desk phone, and a photo of my life partner right next to me, whether I'm standing or sitting, and there's room for more.
The desk is solid and stable. I move it up and down easily, even with my heavy monitor on top, and everything on it is secure, even while the desk is in motion. And I love that it raises vertically, unlike other brands I have used in the past.
Assembly was a non-issue. I just had to attach the keyboard part (which is a great size, btw – ample room for my keyboard and mouse). It was so easy and took just a few minutes. Moving the desk up and down is very simple and smooth. The grey color is classy and professional and looks very nice in my office.
I highly recommend the Victor DCX760 - it's a great product.
