I got this because it was significantly cheaper then others on the market. I like it a lot, it works just fine. The only thing I will say is it does take effort to lift it up, so I wouldn't recommend it for somebody who may be older or may have trouble lifting something that requires a little muscle.
For the past three years, I've had a problem with severely strained back muscles. The worst thing I can do is sit for long periods of time and, since I make my living as a writer, I spent many hours in my desk chair. A physical therapist recommended I get a product like this, but warned it might be very expensive. Well, it wasn't. For the price we paid, I didn't think I'd get a product that performed this well. Now, usually, I stand when I write. I have less back pain, and its very easy to move it up and down. I can't imagine how a more expensive version of this would be any better.
Sturdy and perfect! A little on the heavy side for me personally, but even as a weakling I've been able to move it on my own 6+ times with minimal embarrassment. And it's made it through those moves! A year+ and it's still going strong. A great desk and a great investment! Your knees will thank you. (Just remember to split your day between sitting and standing the point is to move more, not to stand all day!)
