It's great for standing, however at the sitting position the screens are a little high. It would be nice if you could adjust screens to the desired height. It is very difficult to put together and the instructions are horrible for figuring out the tension. I didn't like that the grommet piece I ordered came separately, so after I built the station I realized the grommet wasn't included so after I had attached the computer screens I had to take it apart again until I got the grommet in order to actually use it.
I'm giving this product a 5 because standing more often has helped with my back, knee and hip pain. I no longer experience these pains like before when I was sitting for 8 hours a day. The ability to go from sitting to standing with no effort at all is a huge benefit. The workstation was fairly easy to put together. The only problem I had was tracking down a 1/4 socket wrench.
Everything it represents on online... it delivers. We have purchased several and plan to order another one soon.
I am very happy with this product. I've purchased several for our company and find that all where easy to setup with good instructions to guide me through the process. I'm now able to setup with out referring to the instructions. Highly recommend this product.
I have been purchasing this product for our company for a couple of years. Every unit, after install receives high compliments on its ease of use, solid construction and quick adaptability from the end user. From the installer, it does takes some time to adjust the bottom bracket under the top surface, afterwards installation is very smooth. Full install with attachment and cabling in place takes about 90 minutes. Highly recommend this to anyone thinking of purchasing this excellent adaptive sit-stand component for any workstation surface.
I moved into an office at my past job that already had this Ergotron 24-392-026 Monitor Keyboard Mouse tray installed on the desk. Boy did I like and am now missing it. I have never worked standing up but now I cannot be without this option. I now have an elevating desk at home but will be starting a new job soon. I will definitely try to get my new manager to buy me one of this elevating stands. I really like to stand and sit throughout the work day to help with cutting down on coffee and to allow my leg blood circulation a "break".
We were very pleased with the order and with the service, thank you!
The product works great, does what its advertised to do.
Excellent product. Easy checkout on website. Shipping was high since it was being shipped to Puerto Rico. I have a corporate account but they won't quote before processesing, so I couldn't see which would be a better price for shipping. Other than that, great product.
For the most part I am quite happy with this unit. After install and manual-listed tweaks it is working quite well. A few mods that I found I needed to do were:
I found my base (that mounts to the desk) would move around a little bit when swiveling the rig up and completely out of "the way". Part of the problem (I feel) is that a wingnut comes with the bolt for tightening the unit to the desk. (I don't think it's really possible to tightening a finger-held nut enough to keep it in place). I went to my local hardware store and bought a silicone backed lock-nut and tightened it all down with a wrench. I also placed a non-slip made between the base and my table top (with a cutout for the bolt of course). Maybe my desk is extra slippery...or... a lock nut should come with the unit in the first place. At any rate, other than that it installed easily enough and works quite well. (the manual lists the size of every bolt/screw EXCEPT that one...so... they should add the info to the manual on next printing i'd say). Only, thing I've learned though is that even though this unit can 'swing out of the way' - it is of such size that I don't really regain full use of the desk space in front of me with it sung around as far as possible (which was my desire) ... so, that was one less than ideal outcomes - but 4/5 stars on the whole. Finally, 5/5 stars for Ergodirect customer support. Great, knowledgeable and patient pre and post sales help with follow through each and every time. Buy from here... it's worth the benefit of good CS.
This was my first time purchasing an ergonomic monitor, keyboard and work surface stand. I received the product last week and assembled it over the weekend. It is an investment. I like standing and the passive nature of this item ensuring that I think first before sitting. I had to modify how the unit attaches to my table which was easy to do. I removed the vice that attaches to the table which was easy to do. It was easy to assemble and works great. I would rate the quality of construction high too. The persons I spoke to before I purchased the item were helpful too.
I purchased this for my office, I am a secretary, we also purchased two other units for our building principal and guidance counselor. We all love it! I feel way more productive (I stand 75 - 80% of the day). This unit is sturdy and easy to install, I would highly recommend it.
Love the size of the writing surface but would like it if the monitors could go a little higher up. Also, we modified the keyboard tray so the keyboard could be at the right angle so the wrist does not bend up.
I love my workstation. This product enables me to put healthy choices in my life by being able to stand for a good portion of the day. My back was bothering me from sitting all the time, so this has been a lifesaver.
When an employee needs a sit/stand computer set up and their workstation or desk cannot accommodate a height adjustable table, the Ergotron is the perfect solution. It clamps on so removing it is really easy and no damage is done to the desk. In my many years as a facilities manager, I have purchased about five Ergotrons. In every case, the user was very, very satisfied
Getting all the parts together took a little work, but I was impressed once it was assembled that it needed no adjustment. In operation, super easy to use and makes my work day much nicer. It does take up quite a bit of space on my desk, but was a much better fit than another model that just sat on top of the desk, so if your desk surface is shallow-ish, this might work for you. The keyboard sits pretty far out from the front of the desktop, so make sure you account for a reduction of 18-24" in floor/chair space. Standing up, your chair has to go somewhere: if you don't have enough room, you could trip over it!
Overall, I like this and think it has met my goals. I get to move around a little instead of staying seated all day!
This sit-stand desk is truly a miracle for me. I can now work for four hours at a time without sitting the whole time. It eases my muscles and allows me complete my work on time. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with a need to sit and stand periodically (which is almost everyone).
Works smooth and quiet. Wish the monitors mounts had a ball and socket mounts to allow for left and right twist.
This was the perfect solution for a client who had back surgery and needed to be able to alternate between sitting and standing to work.
All employees are very satisfied with the worksurface. Would recommend. Thank you for quick service.
We ordered this for one of our staff. The product is heavy duty and functions very well. This product has allowed her to be able to raise her workstation enabling her to stand or lower it to sit while working. For staff with back issues, this is a wonderful product.
I have ordered several of these products and will continue to buy more as needed. The WorkFit-S, Dual Monitor with Worksurface is a great piece of equipment, easy to assemble and use. To place an online order is simple, should you need assistance the "chat" is instant and efficient.
The orders are delivered within 2-3 business days. Also and most important the customer service is excellent.
it does exactly what the employee was looking for, thanks for the streamlined installation program as well.
Having the option to sit or stand is great! Quality product.
Some of the machine threads are not clean and make it very hard to put together without chasing the threads with a tap before use.
There are holes in metal that have threads for machine screws. The screws will not screw in because the threads are not clean. I don't know what the problem is (maybe too much paint, maybe a warn tap at the factory, maybe a little of both). All I know is I had to take a tap and run it thought some of the holes before I could put the machine screws in. On the last one it was the threaded holes that hold the key board tray in place. On an earlier one I had gotten (a month or so ago) it was the threaded holes that hold the bar for the two monitors.
